Snapchat reported that a video containing child pornography had been uploaded the company's server to the National Center For Missing And Exploited Children— who contacted Pennsylvania state police computer crimes unit, the release shows.
The suspect was identified as Lamont Antonio Lovett Jr., of the 330 block of Lantern Lane in Chambersburg, police say.
Child pornography was found during a search of Lovett's home conducted on Tuesday, Mar. 8 at 6 a.m., the release shows.
He was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for tamper with evidence, in-addition to 10 felonies including the following, according to court records:
- Disseminating Photographs/Film of Child Sex
- Criminal Use Of Communication Facility
- Child Pornography (8 Counts)
He was released on a surety bond for $100,000 in bail and his preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Glenn Kenneth Manns at 10:30 a.m. on Apr. 5, court records show.
